Functional solution for the shower area

Description of the arrangement

Our preferences for bathroom fittings are changing. We are increasingly abandoning traditional shower enclosures in favour of modern walk-in solutions.

There doesn't have to be a shower tray in the shower area. There is usually no threshold or even a standard door in it. The shower enclosure stands directly on the floor. Its walls can be large sheets of transparent glass. In this way, nothing disturbs the spaciousness of the arrangement. The shower area is virtually invisible, so it fits into any design and any floor space.

Water in walk-in shower enclosures is drained via a linear drain located either in the floor or... in the wall, as in the example composition. Here, the shower floor is perfectly smooth. This creates an interesting visual effect.

The wall slim model used here has a polished grille on the outside in the form of an aesthetically pleasing tile. Water "disappears" from the shower area through a narrow gap near the wall/floor boundary. The drain has a steel siphon integrated in the inspection hole and an inspection plug, which allows easy access to the siphon. The shiny metal parts of the unit form a harmonious whole with the chrome elements in the bathroom, such as the fittings and tasteful accessories.

Walk-in shower enclosures with floor or wall drains also prove very functional when there are elderly people in the home who have mobility problems and find a shower tray difficult to use independently.
