Kitchen minimalism
Description of the arrangement
In art and architecture, it emerged as a trend in opposition to over-expression, glamour and decorativeness. It permeated interior design to bring simplicity, elegance and orderliness.
.This is also the composition in dark graphite. It captivates with its simplicity of colour, form and style. The extensive furniture consists of a sequence of lower and upper shelves, as well as a high "wardrobe" with integrated white goods. An important complement is a large island in the same minimalist style. This set not only organises the space, but also keeps the kitchen tidy. The graphite fronts - without gloss or handles - have been beautifully contrasted with the light walls mimicking concrete.
The graphite Mezzo sink fits perfectly into this convention. It is a simple one-bowl model, flush with the countertop, with which it almost blends into a single unit. It was matched with the Zumba II kitchen mixer tap, which has a black flexible spout that can be positioned in any shape, adjusted in its reach and height to suit the size and shape of the dishes being washed. Two spray functions allow the strength of the spray to be matched to the task at hand. The tapered chrome elements of the mixer harmonise with the metal finishes of the fitting, as well as the futuristic design of the black bar chairs.
Minimalism, although frugal, does not exclude cosiness. Wooden open shelves illuminated by LEDs and light herringbone parquet flooring bring it into the composition. Large windows, of course without curtains or drapes, provide an inflow of natural light.
