Granite pair in the kitchen
Description of the arrangement
Durable, functional and attractive - this is how granite sinks and their accompanying mixers can be described.
.They are also called 'stone', 'quartz' or 'composite' because they are made from a composite - a material that is a combination of powdered granite, or quartz, and epoxy resins. The merit of the quartz is the elegant, stony appearance, while the resins provide durability and resistance to damage.
Fit into any modern kitchen setting. In the example composition in loft tones, the dark-coloured granite duo creates the washing-up area on the island. It corresponds with the industrial, dark lamps, the wall painted with black blackboard paint and the large-format windows, which are reminiscent of a factory hall. The deep red of the rounded, high-gloss Smeg fridge, reminiscent of appliances from American kitchens of the 1950s, catches the eye.
The island's inset countertop sink has a small auxiliary compartment that can be used for washing cutlery or rinsing vegetables. The small Freya stand mixer is a model with a pull-out spray handle, making it easy to wash oddly shaped dishes and also allowing a vase or bucket to be filled outside the sink. The mixer has a ceramic head, swivel spout and automatic spray/stream switch. It is in the graphite shade of the sink, so it almost blends in with it.
